    They say you pretty for a black girl ; and my question is what the hell that mean ? I'm beautiful because of my skin and my roots on where they meet ; see my ancestors fought to make me & my eyes are shape like this because it shows purity ; I'm pretty for a black girl is what they say ; blacker the berry sweeter the juice is what Pac said ; I'm pretty for a black girl is what they say but my chocolate skin so radiant that the sun gets mad at me every day ; yes Ima black girl who ancestors were Slaved and they were Beautiful as well ;; their skin color was a threat you see they were so beautiful that they were beaten they were mistreated because their beauty made Whites mad , don't be sad because you just told me I'm pretty for a black girl ; so let me comprehend , are you telling me blacks can't be beautiful because I'm trying to understand why you telling me I'm pretty for a black girl like black is all that matters ; you didn't say a dam thing bout my dimples nor my smile ; I'm pretty for a black girl so why are you pretty may I ask ? do u think your pretty only because your black;  see us black women love saying you pretty for a Black girl instead of understanding the definition , you defining me based on my color ; u telling me forget everything we went though ( being black is not why I'm beautiful being black is why I'm strong , its why equality is still around ( I'm pretty for a black girl is the compliment you gave me thank you but no thank you I rather not take it !
