Bodies still lay lead loaded

in the bloody streets.

Not news now;

elections erased extermination.

 

Time to tender

the retaking of the white house

that bending black backs built.

will not set another precedent.)

 

Shall we be like

last of the Mohegan?

Or shall we arise

with new attitudes;

new mind and body responses

that the new situation in the land

will demand?
