Suppose there are many reasons

why peace so hard to come by

Such a tragic event when

so many innocent people die

In this great big world with

all this spacious land

death and destruction over

these grains of sand

Generations long now gone

their spirits must weep as

they view their home

Oil filtering through the ground

outsiders far out their border

sniffing like a hound

to get their spoil

of the now sacred oil

Can envision the planet

null and void of human kind

So beautiful and peaceful

all the time
