Is There Hope For The Black Man?
Will the black man be able to survive the future? This is in face of the growing need for his education and the complexities of the world. This is an amateur article written from the perspective of understanding that there are many obstacles in the way but at the same time, many opportunities. The trick is being able to tell one from the other.
So one of the first questions that I would ask if "Is the hood providing you with the tools that will lead you in the right direction?" or "Are all signs pointing in the wrong direction from what you see?" There are danger signs and guide posts and the enigmatic of the hood is that we cant tell one from the other. Does it look like someone is trying to help you when they are really trying to hurt you and helping themselves in the process. The needs of the hood are interesting and complex and the simpler the need looks, the more complex it is.
And there you are standing in that moment of indecision where the rhythm of your choice leads to the prosperity of defeat of your next one. We are all meant to succeed. The question is "What are the tools in your arsenal?" and "Will you use your most powerful one?" Are you wondering what that most powerful tool is and then know at the same time that you are using it now.
You are in a trance, a hood trance and no one to wake you up because we are all in it together. We have seen the worst that one human being can do to another and yet we persevere. Through everything we hold our loves ones most near. Even through their mistakes -- the ones that lead to missed opportunities and the ones that lead to jail, and worse yet, death.
We are a living breathing part of a machine that never stops and in that same breath, we can never stop. We must look for that opening to make it forward and hold onto it with both hands meaning that sometimes moving forward we have to learn to let the hood go. Let the hypnotic being exotic to us, let us lead our lives as we would want our children to see us, to be us.
So the question is, is there hope for the black man, of course there is. There is hope for you.
