Escaped in the night.

Booked a flight.

Lost my breath

When I left the ground. 

Touched Heaven

When I touched down. 

Like that,

I was gone.

Like that,

I was free

To be

The man that you attempted 

To take away.

My mistake

For ever giving you room

To think 

That it was okay

To utilize your embrace

As strategy 

To reel in my heart.

You had me hooked

From the start

But

When you started leaving me 

In the dark

Just to maintain your glow,

I knew

I had to go.

Good luck

Finding someone to take my place.
