What makes a society?

So often we blame society, but I feel as if what so many of us, myself included, what we tend to fail to realize or understand or maybe we just do not think about "society" in such a way. However, the fact of the matter is simple: "WE ARE what makes up a society." I think that we all need to realize that each and every single one of us are a unique living and breathing human being and there is not one person out there who is lucky enough not to have their own personal struggles and their own pain; Granted, not all circumstances are the exact same, because it comes in many different forms, in many different directions and each one of us typically deals with things differently than the next person does. We all go home at night or wherever we that is that we have to lay our heads down and each morning, so many of us also stare into a mirror- as we wish that we could either be somebody different or we could be somewhere other than where we might personally be in that very moment. I'm learning on my own personal journey to healing, the most if not all of us, struggle quite often to find our own individual place in this world. With all of that being said, the point here that I'm trying to make is this: "We all have our own things that we're going through in our lives."' So why the hell do we go out of our way to make another persons' they worse than it probably already is or has been? Especially since we could easily just continue on our day. On the other hand we could even do something better than mind our own business. Maybe we could try helping that person out instead of criticizing them acrossiping about them to other people. Instead of doing what so many other people are doing, which is doing anything to drag another person down in some way shape or form, because that dirty look that you give to the homeless man sitting in the alley that you pass as you walk by most days, might just be on the very edge and that dirty stare might have him feel such a way that he takes a gun to his head later that in the night and you walk through the alley the next day and wonder where the homeless man is at, but you're not yet aware that the homeless man is no longer in the alley or in any alley because of the way that you made him feel the day before. You see.... If you live in a world where everybody blames society- then you might as well just go ahead and blame yourself, because believe it or not; You, I, she, him, her, day and them.... Every single one of us is what makes up a society. © Crystal Floyd Writing To Heal Crystal's Healing Journey Spring 2021
