Endangered species: a species…in danger
Of becoming extinct; protected and prohibited
From being uselessly killed.
Strange that we---black men---should be referred
To as such; since we are neither protected nor
Prohibited from being uselessly killed;
Killing a loin---an endangered species---brings world uproar:
What manner of man could commit such a hideous, murderous crime?
Yet, uselessly shooting down of black people in the streets
Merely generates a news anchor footnote:
“This just coming in: Today…a black man, woman and child
Have been shot and killed by a protector in fear of his life.
The shooting officer of the law has yet to be identified…
Meanwhile---in other news around the globe today…the world
Mourns and demands the name and jailing of the man
Who killed the mild mannered lion, Rex---a beloved endangered Species.”
Indeed, the vicious murdering of black men, women and children
Is one thing;
But the useless murdering of a prized endangered lion Species,
Is another!
