The lost art of letter writing is such a sad event. Modern
tech has taken away the feel and appeal of a hand written letter.
Some how receiving a letter in your mail box with your name
and addresse written in personal hand writing means so much more
makes you feel real, emails seem so impersonal and for me talking
on the phone is like talking to a machine.
A letter you visualize what the person is saying. They may say
something like I saw our old friend they said to say hello. Right away
it brings back memories of things we all had done.
Can recall in the service when just a letter from home uplifted me
in a special way. Some guys got letters everyday, that was not me,
its what made it special, a word from home now and then, unexpected.
There were also the guys who got them dear John letters(Break up letters).
When has someone besides the bill collector wrote you?
A lost art but one I shall still use now and then.
