We the People

We live life in a way that speaks volume Disregarding the gift of opportunities Taking the round a bout in everything we do Our needs are back burned While our wants run rampart ...lack of vision Our eyes shielded by the poisoning of the crops When is this going to stop? Black and white stories run static in our minds Who actually sees the clear picture anymore Playing the cards that were dealt for us Not knowing what to do if the hands was our own We forfeited a long time ago Seduced by folktales of the European mind What foolishness! Thinking we were looking to be saved That would take behind lost first... Think about that So where are those opportunities Left to drift in the deafening wind Drowned out by the greed of people in the "other" skin Caught up between apologetic and pure ignorance Can't beat too far around the bush Any minute that Bush can be the burning bush Hush Can't you hear the community crying Grieving over the thing called life Cause we're not living it Pawns, rooks, knights and kings Pieces being played Strategies being made but unfortunately minds remain an empty shell A corporation within a corporation Marked as a business Never ran by " we the people" We the people can't seem to grasp The need to wake up And open the blinds Third eye navigation Self-regulation Full emancipation
