Cell Phone

Why do you have to go through my cell phone?

I mean it's mine right?

I'm the one paying the bill for both of our lines right?

Now don't get me wrong, I don't mind my girl going through my phone cause I have nothing to hide

I just hate that went she find something small she make it big and next thing you know, you we're being loud outside

Loud at the beach, loud in the car

Loud in a parking lot or just wherever we are

Don't get me wrong, I've done some things in the past that's made her be more aware

I've looked at a few girls but never did I drool and stare

Never did I ever cheat on her

And never did I ever try to flirt with some random girl or a girl I knew on social media

I've talked to my ex once or twice on Facebook, small

I've told her I didn't care bout how my girl felt about us talking but only cause we established we was friends and nothing more even though it seems she's again starting to fall

You ask me who I was talking to and then ask to see something on my phone

And then look at my last call and say some like "You said you was talking to ______ when you know you wasn't. You wrong."

Then got the nerve to tell me I can't exchange numbers with a female friend I've known before you

And why? Cause you haven't met her and you said that if me and her and somebody else met up, you don't know what we might do

Sometimes I wanna just use this cell phone and call my dad in heaven and ask why it's gotta be this hard

And he'd probably use an analogy about how women are like cars

How some women need to fixed even though us men are are the reason why they are broken

And how by putting together all those broken pieces is how a man will be rewarded

I still don't mind my girl going through my phone

It's just that now she won't find anything, big or small, cause that's not the type of business I condone.

I like the message and the flow of this poem, especially the part about wishing you could call your dad in heaven for advice. We all have that one person that we wish that we could phone heaven and talk to, very touching…much respect.
