it's hard to sleep because your thoughts keep you awake
that one person that you care the most for at this time always comes to mind
at this time of night, inner peace isnt hard to find-
but sometimes it is
because some nights tears fall on your pillow
and you fall asleep fearing the next night you'll go back to this
but sometimes the pillow is dry
some nights there is a smile your face, and a glint in your eyes
because you have good memories from the day
and the memories far outweigh the pain
the nighttime has kept me sane
thank God that i can "think" myself to sleep
and thank God that these late nights keep me true to myself
