Be Blessed

Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, and walk in his ways.  When you walk upright with him

you will be blessed.  You shall be happy, and happiness with you.  Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine, and your

children like olive plants.  Behold  the man who fears the Lord shall be blessed.

Have mercy on us, O Lord, for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.  Our soul is filled with with scorn of those who

are at ease.  Where would we be if it had not been for the Lord on our side?  We would be swallowed up alive

by those who rise up against us.  Where would we be?

The wrath of the world would overwhelm us like swollen waters, and drown our souls.  We would be prey

to their teeth and eaten up from the snare of the fowlers.

Blessed be the Lord, for the snare is broken, and we have escaped.

Our soul has escaped as a bird free from the devours of the wicked.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven, and earth.

Those who trust in the Lord, are like Mount Zion which cannot be moved, but

abides forever.  He surrounds his people for this time and forever.

For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on this land allotted to the righteous.

Let the righteous reach out their hands to iniquity.  Do Good, O Lord to those who are good, and upright in their hearts

As for such, as turn aside to their crooked ways.  The Lord shall lead them away with the workers

of iniquity .  "Peace be to You"   (Psalms 124-125)
