Long Beach, the city I love the most

The city I can live without, wanting to find another host

With so much drama in the LBC

It ain't hard to why a brother wanna leave

Helicopters constantly fly around the city in search of a man

Police sirens flood the airwaves as they go down Atlantic or in the neighborhoods. Damn

Somebody just got killed, another victim of senseless violence over colors

People worried more about red and blue rather than the fact we share the same skin, some just tougher than the other

Long Beach, the city I love the most

The city I can live without, wanting to find another host

The same city I love don't love me back

I been banged on, pulled a gun on. Everything except being shot at

Gang signs being thrown up as you walk to Louisiana fried chicken on 52nd and Atlantic

Innocent bystanders, guilty by association, being shot at

Not having any freedom. So say goodbye to your favorite baseball team hat

And don't wear that one football teams jersey cause them s that wear opposite colors won't like that

Can't go to Houghton Park or Martin Luther Ling Park cause them s from that hood be over there

They be ready for the set trip and all you gotta do is wear the wrong thing and they'll start to stare

You walk down the street and because you wear your clothes a certain way and see how you get treated

The biggest gang will get you and take you away, yeah LBPD

Harass you for things, embarrass you in public

And they wonder why we out in the streets with these guns in our belt like *** it

So Long Beach, I love you but I gotta go for me

I refuse to let you deceive me with beautiful scenery and tall palm trees

Beaches that expand for miles

Unfortunately the water on the beach came from tears of the people and not the smiles

Long Beach, the city I love but can live without

I won't let these streets eats me up and chew me out
