Light brown at the bottom, jet black at the top,
I wear it all natural, no relaxer, no press and curl,
no weave, big afro, nice and free.
In school kids use to stick pencils in my hair,
at first I thought it was mean, then I realized
my hair was unique something some have
never seen.
I embrace my nappy, tangled hair, some think good
hair is curls, waves, or straight and long, but In my eyes
that is the image people like to give off but its wrong.
Never worried about long hours fixing or adding other hair to it,
I combe it out add a cute little bow and go.
I wear my hair just the way jesus intended it to be,
never afraid, of what people may think of me, a south african
beauty, I wouldn't dare change a thing.
My friends often asked me "Why don't you try relaxing your hair",
I simply reply "I wasn't born with straight hair, changing something
god created now that's not fair.
Now a days most women relax, straighten, or wear weaves,
not to say that's a bad thing but ladies we need to embrace
what god created, I embrace my hair and you should to,
embrace what is naturally apart of you.
Don't be afraid of what or how someone may see you,
if they can accept something that is naturally you, then
they don't need to be around you.
Embrace your hair......
Embrace what is apart of you......
Love what god created because he do.
