Guilts of omission I must free from my chest Perfect I’m not, I was wrong none the less A confession of silence I realize was not right Quiet as kept I kept quiet, but not quite Thinking back I spoke words many to be misleading The truth I placed between the lines I was reading Vibes given, were taken I placed my feelings aside How unpleasant is the sight when two hearts collide To appear truthful, short of expectation, I failed If honesty is truth, it to must be detailed The guilt I felt, so I must bear the blame No longer in denial, I am not what I became Lesson learned, what I am in it I believe Accept my exit, though I entered to deceive Apologies are here, how do I express my regret Forgiveness I ask, hope these words cover my debt This secret I have kept, even heavier the burden carried Should have said this sooner but, Sorry I’m married.
