Like the flower

Much like the beginnings of a flower

We come into the world without choice

Pure and without much power

Can't change the start, we have no voice

Buried deep in the warmth of shade

At the mercy of the world around us

After time and nourishment the endless night will fade

Brought into the light with a slight fuss

We sprout, fresh air, life starts here

To live under the light of the sun

Though nothing at first is clear

Well that's only true for one.

The flower knew what is was from the seed

We struggle to find meaningful existence

To simply be apart of the ecosystem is all they need

We'll sell our souls for some type of importance

To be like a flower with out a care

To know little to no stress

To dance with the current of the air

To see the beauty in rain and the sun's caress

Instead of breaking my back for the planet

The atlas of those I care for

Patience seems like it'll never break, can it?

Sometimes it feels like less would be more

Like the flower all I want is to grow

Facing the direction of the light

To know what I wish to know

Is my photosynthesis my talent to write?
