I am sick and tired of the ignorance of the world
All arguing over a simple word
I never actually thought it was that deep until I saw this ish on the TV
'Who can say the word n-igga' it read
Imma be honest I agreed with all the statements noted
1. Only black people
2. White people can if it's in a song
3. No one should
Because at the end of the day we are the ones to give the word it's definition
Cause even if it is in a song it's bad anyway cause it's about them getting b-tches
So either way it's in the wrong context
And don't you think that if everyone is screaming that word
like n-gga this and n-gga that people are gonna imitate
Don't even call me it in the first place
Im just a young black female in this big world and will not be called any word but my name
Don't get me wrong it came from a bad place
Slavery ain't even a thing to imitate
It ain't a joke
It's a deep thing which killed many people who were black those days
By us screaming that we need to forgive and forget
How is dwelling on the past going to help us move on in life
As your making us remember that the word n-gga
came from the back lashes engraved on our ancestors backs
leading them to the ongoing graves
It's sad because one month every year we learn where it came from
Yes you still put it in songs
Let's not be dumb obviously it's gonna be said there the lyrics
So why get mad wen a white man sings along to the same songs as you
That's why if no one used it and left it behind with the graves of the loved unknown we may move on
Maybe I'm wrong and we should use the word
As we are embracing our roots
But if you want to embrace them by remembering there was a time were we were smaller then the 'superior' ethnicity
Then that's up to you.
