I Still Know

I remember that glow

from long ago

Way back long ago

The way the sun hit

Your hair

Gave you the brightest

Halo honey I swear

But you had to leave and

It was hard

Felt likeI had a knife

Plunged into my heart

i still know...

This wasnt suppose to

Happen at all

The night you left I

Kicked and punched the wall

I didnt think you'd be back but here

You are and I feel the same

I know I am not going to

Make the same mistake

I remember when it was

Time for our first date

Its like it just happened

Just yesterday

A cool summer night

With fireflies dancing

Big lover's moon shining

It lit up your face

And I sailed away

Just like back then I still know....

This wasnt suppose to

Happen at all

The night you left I

Kicked and punched the wall

I didnt think you'd be back but here

You are and I feel the same

I know I am not going to

Make the same mistake

I was huggimg you when

You said you had to leave

I felt the world start to slow

As I felt your tears hit my sleeve

I tried to say something

But I couldnt speak

Our goodbye kiss was

So bittersweet

This wasnt suppose to

Happen at all

The night you left I

Kicked and punched the wall

I didnt think you'd be back but here

You are and I feel the same

I know I am not going to

Make the same mistake

That shouldnt have

Happened At All

I was tight on the ledge

And ready to fall

I didnt need to feel

The regret

I shouldnt have to remember

And then forget

I dont wanna forget
