lightness in the dark
Hey there my fellow poets! Blessings and greetings to you all for a prosperous new year. Life has been pretty rough for me since I last posted but nonetheless, as always with God's mercy and grace I've persevered. I'm finally at a point where I can start posting again. I so miss being on here and reading everyone's works. I hope that everything is going well for everyone. Let's keep the inklove flowing!

Drop all your baggage
Walk through your door
Get rid of the garbage
Sweep and mop your floor.

Vacuum up all the idiosyncrasies
Taking refuge in your rug
Let questions go unanswered
When it's your coattails they tug.

There will be kicking and screaming
But don't worry about it
They'll fizzle themselves out
They don't know how to deal without it.

Nothing more needs to be said
No time needs to be spent
Let no on take up space in your head
Without paying rent!

As each day that goes by
One by one let them go
So the good in your life
Has room to grow.

And soon enough you will see
Their true colors shining bright
And everything you suspected
From the beginning was actually right.

So in order to return to Peaceful Home, USA,
It'll take a strong dose of rectification
Along with a teaspoon of dusting and cleaning
Will lead to proper detoxification.

Thanks 2b, we all need some "spring cleaning" every now and again, no matter the season. It's how we find our "TRUE" friends and our "TRUE" selves. I appreciate your support. Smiles.
