Have you ever been trapped in your own mind

Deep in your own thoughts

Plenty on your mind 

 But nothing comes out of your mouth

Have you ever searched your own soul

Sat in total silence 

Turned off all the tv's

Placed your phone face down on silent

Detached yourself from all distractions

Do you know how it feels to be alone with yourself

Placed your hand over your own heart

To feel how it felt

Closed your eyes and listened to your own breath

Its been along time since i felt how alone feels

But sometimes thats the only thing thats real

Im introverted as *** 

And thats how it is

Puzzle Piecies (Just a thought)

I happened to

Think about puzzle pieces

And realized

They may have some significance

Funny how God

Can see the big picture

While we stare at

Minute Pieces

Pieces are Percisely Placed Perfectly Permeating Precious space

At least that's my definition...

As humans

We attempt to group things

Starting with the outer edges

The problem with this theory

Is that we can't comprehend comprehend such a broad spectrum (life)

Only the beginning and ending

But can you comprehend the fact

That God is somewhere in the middle of it all

Orchestrating

See our strategy

Is merely guessing

What if I suggested that

God sees your individual blueprint

Already constructed

And is merely maneuvering

The pieces of your life

According to his exact...

Music is...

Music is my therapy 

I get lost in the instrumentation 

Drums let my body know it okay 

To begin swaying

My head nods in perfect synchronization 

As the snare, toms, and cymbals 

Converse in their own special language

Then that clever bass line sneaks in...

My eyes are now closed 

But my mind awakens

Each component of this composition 

Has been carefully blended

And in this moment 

My creative energy roams freely

Music allows me to vibrate at my highest frequency

It aids me as I write poetry

It pumps me up in the mornings

It captures my imagination 

Even when life seems to be off balance

Music keeps my heart beating 

Somewhat Unpopular

Often in deep thought 

But my peers don't understand 

Why must I be so different 

I have a interest in examining things beyond the surface 

I never really understood the popular people

Always amazing the in crowd with their bold antics

I'm much more reserved 

Humanity is my concern 

However you take my vocal discernment 

As shyness 

Viewed as anti-social

But I'm actually introverted 

I have no interest in expressing myself to people who half listen 

Just looking for someone who catches my drift 

As I coast through the waves of mental consciousness

Stigma

Were you happy to place me in your system

Did it feel good to restrict my limbs with your shackles

Am I too dark to have a record with no blemish 

Or was I just another number to add to your quota 

You make light of it

Referring to the situation as a misdemeanor 

But if it was so minor

Why was I taken out of my car?

Why was I handcuffed on the side of a busy road?

Why were you so hostile?

Maybe because I'm an example 

Another young black man that must be taught a lesson

And everyone that passes by needs to be reminded

That almost every black man in America a blemish on their record

In reality

I was bound

I was restricted

I was embarrassed 

I was photographed 

I was finger printed

I was placed in the system

Not for stealing 

Not for drugs 

Not for murder

The projects

Pretty project girl

Naive 

But far from dumb

You've had to overcome many obstacles in life

Most can't even comprehend 

The reality of where your from

You grew up in this house

I mean apartment

Within four walls

Surround by 10 other tenants 

In theory it was a box 

It was a trap 

It was the projects 

But this is where you slept

This where you ate

This where you and your four siblings played

Too young to understand that

You were just a small rodent 

On a hamster wheel

That keeps repeating 

The same cycle

The system has built

Pretty project girl

Naive 

But far from dumb

You grew up to raise 3 children

In a house

I m...

Ignorance Is Bliss

She says i'm book smart

But I don't have no street sense

Maybe because books have commas

But don't make cents

The allure of a man that defies the law

Peaks her interest

Asked me why EYE

Read so many books

They don't make a difference

To her it's about living in the "present"

God must have Pre-Sent me to deliver this message

Understand that

She's been preconditioned to beleive that

The past has no significance 

And if i tell her about 

The black mans 400 years of enslavement 

Or elaborate about how

We've been miseducated 

Her face becomes jaded

Then she repeats herself SAYING...

Your book smart 

But you have no street sense

And at that moment I realized that

To some

Ignoran...

The way EYE see it

The way EYE see it 

Life consist of seeking knowledge 

First understand your history       

Then yourself

And most importantly embody love

*** what the media portrays

The money,cars,clothes, and hoes are all irrelevant 

The higher ups are trying to hinder us

Distraction is their weapon of choice

Just be visulant

We all strive to overcome these obstacles

Whether physical manifestations

Or mental manipulation

Recognize your struggle 

Open your EYE

For its not what you see in your visual that hinders you

The facade of this present world is only a distraction
