True Reflection:

life

She looked in the mirror and for the

first time, she saw herself as she really was,

no make up, no fake hair, no contacts, she took a

breath and saw the women she truly was.

Tears filled her eyes, but she didn't know why,

why she stood looking at herself and begin to cry.

Looking at herself, not truly knowing who was

looking back, she understood that she disliked herself

and that was a fact.

She begin to wipe away her tears,

then she suddenly paused.....

Slowly she took another long look at herself

and she smiled,

Her smile very mild, but

For the first time

she understood, What beauty was hidden inside.

For the first time she saw  the real women that

she wanted to hide, the women who had true beauty inside,

she understood she doesn't have to be something shes not,

She finally understood that she is beautiful just being herself,

she has beauty even if others can see it or not,

Her eyes locked on to who she truley is, she promised

herself that the women looking back at her will

no longer remain hidden, She will show her true self

even if at the end she stands alone all by herself.

Dedicated to a friend....You know who you are.
