Remember When

Remember when we had those long talks the walks on the beach while standing in the heat. 

Remember when you punched me in my face or when you threaten my life while holding that knife. 

Remember when you stole my childhood from me right in a blink of an eye. 

Remember the day that my aunt was taken from me and i had no where else to go i was almost left homeless at the age of 8.

Remember the day my heart shattered into a thousand peices and i could not mend it back together. 

Remember when i fell flat on my face and could not pick myslef up and i just laid there.

Remember when I gave up on myself and life becasue i could not move on and i felt lost and confused.

Remeber when that special someone was brought to me but was solen away from in the matter of 60 seconds.

Remember how you use to tell me that i could not do nothing never will be nothing and that i will end up like my mothe...

It Should Have Been

It should have been me in the passanger seat with that drunk driver. But I did not go. It should have been me in the back saet of my dad's stolen car and died at the age of 2. But my mother did not let me. It should have been me that jumped off that bridge and never looked back. But my friends talked me out of it. It should have been me that had gotten knocked up at the age of 12. But I was not that stupid. It should have been me that gotten raped at the age of 9. But my grandmther saved me.It should have been me that left the house at the age of 10. But it was not me because my mother raised a young lady and not a dummy

The Last Time

The last time I saw you i was only 16. The last time we had a conversation i was 13. The last memorie i have of you was at my cosuin family gathering. The last laugh we shared was at a movie. The last time i made you smile was when you were laying in the hospital bed. The last time i saw your pretty brown eyes was right befor you closed them forever. The last time i hugged you was right befor you went to surgery. The last song we sung was at a church event. The last song i sung to you was take me to the king right befor you left me. The last song we danced to was i need you to survive. But there will never be a last time i think about you.2014©

Where were you

Where were you when my dad died at the age of three. I did not see you. Where were you when I sat at the top of the stairs screening thinking my dad was coming but never showed up.
I could not feel you. Where were you when I needed a hug. I could not hear you. Where were you when I could not sleep at night. You said I am right here. Where were you when I cried all night. You said lean on me. Where were you when I felt lost and alone. You whispered in my ear and said ill never leave you nor forsake you. Where were you when I needed those encouraging words with my back against the wall feeling like 
Im nobody. But you were there and you told me to trust you and never doubts me.2014©
