Onions in a Well....

Missing  the  day  I  contrived

Love  lost,  How  can  I  survive?

Wanting  to  redeem  hearts caught up

Spent  karma,  my  soul  sold  for  less

I  expect  the  vex,  battling  selfish  wishes

You  were  my  prize,  hard  earned  bliss

Surprise  was  what  you  meant  in  my  life

Our demise  means  I  have  lost  the  fight

So  the  rain  falls  steadily, saturating  space

Pools  of  reflection,  glistening  about  face

So  I  cover  my  painful  opening

Hoping  to  catch  reign  in  a  new  beginnings

Swimming  in  dreams  of  love  life  getting  better

Hastily flogging  and  swishing  in bouts  of  lust

Married  to  wealth,  believing  in  delivery  outside  self

Selfish  me  searching  for  onions to  set  me  free

All  too  late  I  find,  how  the  cut  of  onions reminds me......

That  if  I  look  down  at my  self  imposed  longings

I  will  finally  see  how  deep  the  tears  I  see  welling inside me!
