Growing up on my block was tuff!.. In order to survive you had to have big nuts!.. On my block everyday was killings humans was dropping like loose change!..Cause every body was paronoided with guns!.. Cracked out houses were like businesses kinda like CVS pharmacy's! On my block you had to man up or move to another city!.. Every day was a challenge to survive on my block junkies was running up and down the street chasing there addictions you would of thought you was watching the crack head Olympics cause the dope feins was moving faster then sprinters!.. So many angry humans you would of thought lions was on the loose!..On my block the dope man was the neaborhood president!.. Coming up in a environment so cold you would of thought it was a neighborhood just for polor bears! On my block you better learned some tricks and trades cause if you didn't you would of been out of luck like a with Aids!..Dice games every day we would call it are own neighborhood casino!..On my block you better packed a pistol!..cause people had tempers twice as bad as that man who shot up them schools! On my block junkies skins looked like gator prints cause the drugs was eating them alive!.. Shooting every nite you would of thought we was living in a middle of a gun range!.. On my block if you made it thru a day at nite you better drop to your knees and pray cause everyday was like a royal rumble fighting to get paid. Cause people pockets were empty like we were the first black slaves!..So I guess that's why I'm so humble cause I can survive and fight through any storm and at the end of this poem ima give a big thanks to my home for making me the soldier I am today!.. DETROIT I SAY IT PROUDLY CAUSE IT MADE ME THE MAN I AM TODAY!
