Summer RisingSummer rising, upon urban streets, feel the heat of attitudes, that burn higher and hotter than the sun. Even as the sun sleeps at night, summers heat still is a blaze. Minds halve crazied , by he said she said. No rest for the weary as statistics become the norm, another man or woman gone. Bullets fly without names. Return to sender ones families pain. A shrine built with roses and teddy bear's amid the concrete. Like a jungle becomes our inner city streets. Rallies and marches have been done. Time for slogans to cease and arguments we don't need. Pray and react only in peace. Yes the summer heat, is a blaze.Yet try to keep your cool , in every way! |
LabelsIt's hard to detect by your dialect and skin tone, where your from. Are you from America or a distant land, if you hear me, can you understand. I am puzzled by the picture I see, in living color, standing before me. Are you mixed or are you whole, if I should be so bold. Where do you come from, and of what nationality? It really doesn't matter, nor does it bother me! Somehow I find that unbelievable, since you could not embrace, whom you heard and whom you saw. Oh excuse me, yes I can comprehend.
