I seem to be in a

To the sky

However they seem more conflicted than amazed

I wanna let you know

You're always in your hay day

This frame cannot interpretate the metaphysical

In tune with far more than the physical

Time not only exists, it transcends

I had to endure some things to comprehend

That the stuff that's ill has been brought about to make one wield the pen

Begin to create one's own myth

Etched in a legay of revolutionary verse

Yet still remain in place to make you moan with desire

Being punished with tongue lashings on chocolate covered body parts

Sneaking around like lecherous teenagers

Adult Children

Rolling necks and eyes

Raging hormones

Full of pride

All signs of adult children

Hot Cheetos and Takis

are essential to their diet

All their friends are doing it

so why can't they try it?

The mentality of  adult children

Left alone to fend for themselves

while mama is working or clubbing or texting or taking selfies

This is the plight of adult children

Public educators allow them to sleep

while life passes them by

grooming them for prison or the welfare line

Listen to the cries of adult children

Knowing every dance craze

but lack revelation

Doing anything for attention

Giving into temptation

This is the life of adult children

Can talk about sex

making babies galore

Since they ain't on t.v

Their lives they abhor

These are ...

Teacher

Somebody is watching me

I don't know who

But 

I can feel their eyes

With every movement

They sit

Quietly 

Anticipating

my next action

So 

I choose to

RISE

to every occasion

For I know that my next step will bring

Contemplation

thought of myself as a 

nobody

Overlooked and

Unappreciated

Just another statistic

in this crazy 

mixed up world

to the role that society has created for

Only able to accumulate and

assimilate

with the scrapes of

that have been placed before me
