today i saw a break in the clouds. all praises to the Most High. nothing changed...things may even be worse but the burden has proven too much. and so i laid it at His feet and despite my short comings He still saw to it that the weight was lifted. he gave me rest and peace. my circumstances can drive the sanest to madness but His grace has proven once again to be sufficient. that being said the poem follows.

i was starving, malnourished, void of protein and vitamin c, a, and b now dont be mistaken i am not speaking of the meat of trees and sprouted leaves. this food, this mannah is from heaven and i closed my window for just a second but in that dark space it felt like eternity, mind to mush and body broken spirit dejected and soul choking. i wasted away for centuries in the twinkling of an eye starved right to death but with my last breathe remembered my maker. flutter and flicker, free and full, finishing first place fast and fueled, leading few and following far less. fresh fruits, no fast foods, fringes, and friends, family and festivity. feeling fulfilled and feeling felicity. feet far from ground floating ready for fun. finding favor in my Father's house.

constantly broken

can i be light and airy and filled with sunshine? i honestly don't know. yes i can put on a show besides these poems truthfully you woudn't know. i hide my pain masked behind carefree skips in the park and dainty laughter that so easily escapes my lips

drip drip drip the tears that could float a ship but who knows it no one not even you. these poems speak of gloom and doom but thats only a fragmented corner of a broken vessel

are those laughs me or who i used to be. am i real or just an echo of a past someone. feeling disconnected and unenchanted. i know better cause i know my maker but these bad vibes just cant seem to shake cause life keeps making the wrong turns. my choices, my actions , my outcome trust me more than anyone i know. i'm not a helpless victim but i keep failing like a pro. i guess thats my gift ... its what im good at. in some ways bright and clever but in the ways that matter dumb as ever.

Bitter words that hopefully once aired want rest on my heart

shake me shake me it must be a dream a nightmare filled with ghosts and goblins and utility bills that go bump in the night. straped for cash so your twisted thoughts are to beat me over the head with more debt. nickel and dime every breath. working hard nah hardly working... given just enough hours to stay behind with the hope that a penny pinch here and a missed meal there will add up to a dollar but i aint even got 15 cent.

looking my child in the eye feeding her lies. you can do anything be any thing just work hard and sharpen your mind and your sword cause life and death rests behind your lips but failing to tell her the cold hearted truth. your life can be great and filled with riches but in this world you are still subject to misters, broken promises, and bill collectors

Sometimes Lost, Sometimes Found

Sometimes lost, sometimes found. i was blind than i began to see that i was even more blind then i first believed. lost in a world of misery though i should know better can't seem to find the air to breathe. oxygen flowing in and out but purpose never comes with a single one. just lost not found but hoping one day i'll breathe again.

Candy coated. sweet to the taste. rainbow colored smiles and brilliant radiant styles. loved by the world all can see it doesnt get any better than me. unless you look deeper and see that inside the shell is empty.
