I want to call this something special
But I don't want to be a fool and think there's potential
I think too much about the things that could happen
Maybe I'm just scared of rejection and the reaction
I want to believe you're the one,
People are put in your life for a reason
But I don't want this to be another lesson learned.
I'm not trying to relive my past
Just want to start over, start fresh and make this one last
Not trying to love just want to feel loved
Wanting to cover up the hole and the pain
Where happiness once laid
Being alone is my biggest fear
Can't wait to see the day
When this loneliness disappear

Love Lost, Love GainedI've lost the love of my life I think of him every day and night No words can express how I feel He meant everything to me And that's real No other man can compete with what he has given me Love, happiness, joy and security I miss him so much And the way his hands caressed my body With every touch Soon enough I was over him And mistakenly fell in love with a guy Who I feel is too good for me But I don't know why The thought of bein in love is like summer rain It sure enough will wash away all the pain A love lost is a love gained |
Used and AbusedIt was all good in the beginning We were having a good time Enjoying ourselves And everything was going fine But the day you laid your hands on me Changed everything After that I knew we couldn't be I was a fool to forgive you the first time I shouldn't have stayed I should have left when it was on my mind As the months went by, it continued Still I forgot and forgave How could I be so stupid to stay and get abused Once again blinded by love and fear I couldn't take it anymore It was time for me to move on and disappear The lies, the cheating and the abuse I had had enough of everything Things now are a little rough But I'm still standing |
