The world and my city's become dangerous

We gotta worry about the police, our own people and everybody else slaying us

Black and brown going to war over colors

We can't even see that we shades away from each other or even being on the same border

We quick to call each other n*gga but what happened to brother?

We want other people to stop hating us when we hate us and can't even love each other

Everybody from a different neighborhood but going through the same struggle

It's a big city but we all in the same small bubble

People killing their "enemies" not knowing they got the same uncle

Gotta watch our back so we ain't caught slippin cause them dudes on the other side stay set trippin and can't rely on our own homies cause for the right price the gun will turned on you and it's gonna be your homie thats grippin

I pray for my city..........

I just want to stop the pain and begin the peace

I want the guns to stop shooting, harassment to hault and race wars to cease

They say they got a hit out for 150

I sometimes read the news and think to myself how much I'm ashamed of my city

Things wasn't always that bad, but now it's sh*tty

These girls is getting killed for the color of their skin

By ninjas that think that it makes them more of a man

These ninjas think that spraying a female is something that's gonna get them stripes

But all its gonna get them is killed or life

Maybe both.........

But I pray for my city and the people in it

I pray that they be safe and while in the city limits

I pray these young black women don't ever feel the feeling of having to run or be chased

And most of all......I pray everybody get home safe.
