The sun shines brightly
Even though it rains
Love happens…
Even through the pain
we sometimes feel...
when we erase even the memories
of what we think we've found
...While standing what we think upon
As common ground
Life happens, as we grow closer
We experience what it is to be happy.
We are never alone
We live and grow together
Are schooled in the art of being human
Make mistakes, feel pain and suffer
If we live touched by compassion
Learning to be more giving
Love is such a gift...
The ultimate expression of humility
sometimes, we get lost in it
Entangled in our lack of understanding
Begin to feeling lonely
And if it gets too far out of hand
Our loving feelings sometimes get cast adrift,
When rather than balance
Let our emotions calm and heal,
We panic, upsetting the undercurrent of the stream
Abandoning the sense of calm, serene
In what we really share... even, when we really care
We may run away, still hurting
Sad and misunderstood
Making ever greater mistakes
...and if we let love drown
why can't we seem
to hold on to the dream
whenever we hear love
...calling out to us
when it comes
