Hi haters

Yall must sacrifice a lot of time

Buzzing noisy when the light of real shines

Or busy trapping excuses like "why oh why"

Concerned about everybody else

Except what's on your own dime

Hogging fresh air for the next hater line

And as expected miserable and blind

Oblivious to your slow destruction

Of what used to be your heart and mind

So let me dumb down reality and slow down time

Get you some business and stay out of mine

It's not easy being me

confident stride purposeful steps

Head held high effortless pride

Culturally unique refreshing mind

Humbled by life dynamic persona

Mistake maker but avid learner

Linear motion not just notions

Old soul embossed in age gold

My man my king and I his queen

I rule my world and do more than dream

Sleeping Baby

You wrestle to sleep

Eyes blinking slower then slowly

Reaching out to me through the drift

Sleep now only breaths away

I hold your hand as you go deeper

And let you go to follow your dreams 

Conscious Yet?

The world we inhabit only inhabits us

Too bad it's not in God we trust

We often live through our eyes

Believing what we'rd told and what we can see

F!ck moral high ground or history fact checking

We accept half truths and lies like the blind to darkness

And have the audacity to judge according to the status quo

But that's what we do in today's testament

We rarely open up or go outside our comfort zone 

Don't believe me? Ask the man dying as we walk over him

We are lost at sea please SOS  Before it's too late

But wait I've digressed  

So for those of us left marked by the stars in our skies

We label being awake as some kind of consciousness

For some of us are aware of the deception

Used for pop control and martial law

We pull together the pieces of our lost histories

Divided by race and broken unity
