always remain faithful
to the fall
scars define each
broken window
then
in late summer
each bruise a
communion wafer
slips into the bloodstream
selfbent to survive.

OTHER POEMS WRITTEN BY Shadchan
One Love____ Water fills her eyes. Blood drains from his face. A ghost of kisses haunting two hearts. Breath of lust and pre-love stolen at midnight in rasta house party. Never to see each other again except in our minds and hearts.

disquietholding my heart to myself I hide behind a curtain of glasses and hair whispers of all of me into a day filled with clouds and no mercy make me walk circles around my life until I wear away softly softly slowy smooth into my body folding and unfolding feari and love I love this quiet turned on by the sound of my breathing unfolding unfolding into my life again surrending my heart to the world again hoping I am much better at love this time my hair trembles in new air
