Thirst

He poured into my cup,

I thirst him ever since

I am known for invading thoughts,

but I can't seem to get him out of my head

I see him when my eyes open

I see him when my eyes close

I hear him I feel him

I feel his presence even in his absence

I knew his body before knowing his heart

But I saw his soul from the very start

Precognition of how life could be Looking up to Heaven,

"Lord please let me sleep."

My mind, body, and soul,

he is who they want

I would follow him blindly

He speak to the brokenness within me

Within him is something I need

Yet, my pride will not let me confess,

I miss him

My insecurities are too afraid that he does not feel the same

My wounds yell,

"Caution! For he may scar you too."

When I look into those brown eyes,

I feel no doubt,

only reassurance

He shields me from the ugliness of the world

My curiosity swallows me up spit me out
