Knowing that black lives too, mattered,
She only had a few who showed they cared
For those over land, who have been scattered;
Still steadily surviving the trials they have shared.
Oh but there is hope yet, for our weary old land---
A bastard child---born out of injustice raping equality;
Nourished by racist crimes of man upon his fellow man;
But be at ease America, black lives will teach you equanimity.
