He walked in a daze most of his life
Drugging up
Partying
He believed he was living the life
Growing older
The streets beat him down
No one sees him as the good time player
Just a drugged out clown
His life is no longer his own
It belongs to the drug dealer he owes
The man lets him know he can clear his tab and get a bag of snow
Just give him one thing
The only thing he owns
The last thing he has to sale
He looks at the dealer with crazy wild eyes
But he drops his head
Knowing him saying he won’t do it is a lie
He will sale his manhood
It’s up for grabs
The dealer sales the man’s body
Gives him more drugs then he ever had
After months maybe years
He no longer cares about time
His body is done
Sick of the abuse
Gives up
The man is dying
He lays in the alley where the dealer laid him out
Since he no longer was useful and couldn’t put out
He thought back on his life
His younger years
The two baby girls he left and hasn’t seen in years
He felt his body getting weaker
He was ready to go
Heaven or Hell or nothing
He did not know
He closed his eyes and prayed for peace
When he opened them again
He was covered in a white sheet
The walls were white and felt stronger than before
He was glad he made it to Heaven
Until the nurse walked through the door
He survived his torment
Six days in an alley
He slept for a month before his mind became focused and he was back in reality
He heard a voice
So sweet and very low
His mother sat in the corner
Crying for her boy she lost so very long ago
He thought she might have passed after all these years
He looked over and asked how she knew he was here
"Sweet son of mine with your lost soul
Your daughters have searched for you as soon as they became grown"
"They know of your drug use and all the deeds you’ve done, they only want to meet you and get you to leave the streets and see the damage the drugs have done"
With tears and remorse he agreed and after weeks, months a year he was healthy
He loved therapy and was felt he was ready
Home with his mother and daughters and family he stayed
Until one night that familiar itch surfaced again
He snuck out the house very very late
He went to alley where he once laid
He knocked on the dealers door and was accepted in like an old friend
Within a week he was drugged out laying in the alley again
This time it was too late
The devil had his way
In the alley is where the man who was loved had a family, support, hope laid
