you make it mellow
I'm so comfortable
drifting off to wonderland
wondering and wandering
along the gravel paved path
I fall and I don't get a scratch
my eyes are closed but, I'm not sleeping
away one moment of your time spent with me
I wonder are you listening, your attention
is required, in order for me to get
my point across to you, you're like
an ocean sometimes impassable
sometimes you make it impossible
I'm no chemist but, I know when
the formula has been changed
or tampered with, all it takes is a whiff
I remember the strong aroma
that wooed me, so seductively
but, now you're playing, hide and seek
so I play my role like I can't find you
as if I'm so weak, I let you speak
you draw me me in like I'm a cartoon
in your comic script, so color me in
into your world of entertainment
I'll be your puppet, no strings attached
you think I'm a fool but, I'm too smart for that
song and dance, oh how I love
how you sing, is it me or has
your voice changed

there's a old say that goes you have to laugh to keep from crying I get it I'm laughing but not cause I want to cry for any particular reason you know that idiom it never fails it means it happens every time once we recognize we're out of our league it's wise to pursue a league of our own I'm smiling I have something to smile about that don't have nothing to do with what's going on in the world something I can't do nothing about on that note "Uh Oh" is an expression of alarm dismay and means it's too late "it's about to go down"
