True Importance

I'm nothing but a kid lost in regret

Looking back at it all trying to forget the rest

Telling myself that there's no need to stress

But I know that lying to myself isn't for the best

She came into my life when her eyes took me in

I was lost for words and struck deeply within

Noticing no feeling of the wind on my skin as we gazed into each others eyes to understand their intentions

Blinded by beauty and love

We left it up to fate that reigned from above

As the time slipped it suddenly became rough

One mistake after another, she finally said "I had enough!"

He lost his purpose after one last glance

Trying to prove to her that he deserves one last chance

To let perfection slip through my hands makes me remember the laughs in the past

Clouded by sorrow, losing my grip fast

Now I understand the true importance of what I once had..

Really Real

I'm sorry that I couldn't see

I tried my hardest to be all you could ever want or need

But I was wrong in believing that we're meant to be

Emotions such as these does nothing but mislead

So now considering the pain how am I to think?

My mission is to make sure that my heart doesn't sink

Even if it means to break any strong links

But as you search for my heart to steal you'll begin to understand how I deeply feel

Reasons why it's hard to believe that this is really real

Don't judge my mechanism that's designed to kill any threat to my heart urging me to unlock the seal

But I refused to abide by it's convincing deal

A proposition meant for those that's just as cold as steel

Instead I chose to yield and leave what's inside concealed

And I promise you, that's what's really real.
