Let me just spill Raise your right hand Lay it across your chest From one soldier to the next Today we take a plegde That from this day on We will not settle for less Forget digging a man's grave about a little respect Father's cherish ya kids Before it's too late Young black man We is where its at man We are a mass unchangeable Unchained We are indestructible I am not for black power but black unity And for a cause for a face to be equal in the community I am not perfect I know I hurt I've wronged I sin daily I blaze daily I've sold drugs I've been to jail I don't have my kids I always roll spliffs I have sex unprotected sometimes I hang out late night with the homies and kick rhymes I am not a model citizen I am just like you with different flaws from a different place with a different face different kin different skin Yet we the same Unique in some many ways Yet we the same Black white Chinese Hispanic Different lands and languages Yet we the same We live at sleep and breathe the same air We walking the same earth Making you no better than me Making no man or woman better than the next and I've come to terms with this Some of us are skilled more than others Look better than others Sound write think better than others The harsh reality is still we are the same. We are all part of a community working together to be, to exist. We are life
