I Am The American Dream

CATEGORY

just different

I took a look at one face of America,
I seen corruption, greed, propaganda, and murderers…
I took a look at the other face of America
And seen struggles, pain, hunger and sufferers…
The Have’s have a strangle hold on our riches
Causing The Have Not’s to sell their souls like es…
Currency is the life line that keeps us alive
That everyday struggle that makes us survive…
Took the only thing that means the world to us and that is our love
In which created the pimp, the hustler, the dealer and the thug…
As we prey off of each other just to maintain
Just to earn a dollar,
Just to earn a rep and for you to know the name…
You know me as The American Dream
I have 8 million stories but all are the same scheme…
The Statue of Liberty is my bottom that flaunts opportunity
Searching for that happiness while you’re in pursuit of me…
Some taste the fruit of greed and then dine on temptation
Sip the wine of gluttony and then get drunk off of the power to be amongst the richest in this nation…
Gave their own blood and stain the pureness of integrity
To win at all cost and endangered the symbol of America to be your trophy…
While the heart beats slower and faint from such a load to bear
The poor continues to struggle and you profit off of them to become a millionaire…
The Government, Corporations & Investors sold this country and it’s people
The New Age Slavery that has been one of the original roots of evil…
The Almighty Dollar,
"In God We Trust"
Time after time it's the re-sale of us...
8 million stories but all are the same scheme
You know me as The American Dream...
