My mind speaks over the silence
It is too quiet and quite disturbing
My peace is not at rest, it is in motion
My emotions laugh as if a joke has been
Told on the inside, this is where it all lands
Like a hard hit from a fall, breaking limbs and bone
A child screams in a place where no one hears
No one’s home to mother it back to life
So it dies lifeless body of misconception
If faith abounds, how can there be fear
Caught up in a trap somewhere down the past
Trying to make it here, from there, somewhere
Inside thick smoky sheets of glass, I pass
Down the darkened path into a tomb decorated
Like a newborn infants room
