--A Poem About Jodi Arias--
Heart of Gold
Heart of STONE in that moment
you wish you didn't own
But what else could you have done to save your life
except twist and cut and threaten with a gun?
Now you abide within harsh walls
dreaming, pacing , drawing , planning
away from the sun and bereft of
those happy days of having fun
Now each day you bring a bitter biscuit to your lips
and sweeten it with the blood of your dead lover
For in this way you help yourself recover
You cleanse your soul
And address the suffering others
You seek peace
But cannot rest in the slow pulse of time
which measures your Time
for what people call a
crime
