What If?

I sometimes wonder
What if there weren’t a God?
Or no religion to teach divine principles
Would the human race then reach a moment in time it would think its invincible?

Do we already think that as a race that’s so fragile & impotent?
Becoming wildly enraged to fight another war
With such tenacity and acting so diligent
Becoming a mind that’s militant
And angered and dazed
Spewing nothing but violence towards religions or peoples of any color or creed
Thinking we are all special and yet we act so amazed

To see the violence increase
As the population of sickness does increase

What if
There was not any knowledge of a divine being!
Who could determine what’s right or wrong and who would follow you
If you thought you were smart enough to create civilization
And yet have no true foundation for your belief?

If we were all atheists or agnostic
Or have no name to define the lack of belief in a God
What kind of civilization would we have?
What rules could be implemented into the human race without constant civil war?

Everyone would claim to be all knowing
Or smarter or with better principles?
We could kill with no remorse
Because how could another human tell me I am committing a crime if the definition of crime would come from the lips and mind of another human?!
Who could tell me stealing is wrong
If there was no deep rooted moral truth behind it?
Who could tell me not to steal if I steal to feed my child?
What or who could define today’s rules or principles purely based by human “logic”?

Rape, murder, hate, adultery, fornication and killing could never be defined as wrong or worthy of the definition of crime if it were just another human who said it was wrong.

No one would be convicted emotionally of what is right or wrong if all right and wrong were completely based on a “need” basis circumstance

If I had to kill you to get your wife that I lust over
Who could tell me it is wrong?
Who could tell me that I can not kidnap children if my wife could not have by choice?
Who would define kidnapping and what would be their basis or foundational grounding to create such a definition if there were no God?

What could cause a guilty conscience if there were no spiritual truth?
None would be guilty and yet everyone would be guilty
The world would never have existed as long as we know it
If there were no God or religion

As much as we may push it away or pull it near
God is eternal
Most of todays laws are based mainly on Judeo-Christian principles, which in turn stemmed from ancient Babylonian empires which all came from the time of Cain who killed Abel.

Sin or “wrong” is only sin or considered wrong, if there is a divine principle involved and you are willfully breaking that law.
Other than that, no man has the right to tell another man or woman
That what we, he or she says, does, thinks or acts upon is worthy of going to jail
Or worthy of the electric chair
Or worthy of lethal injection
For all would only be man made
And man being imperfect would always make imperfect laws
And imperfect humans would never fully follow imperfect laws created by imperfect men
If there were no deep rooted spiritual truth behind it…. Period!

What if?
I’m so glad that’s not the kind of what if, that could ever truly be!
Thank God, that is one “What If”
We do not have to deal with.

He or she who has eyes
Let him or her see what the spirit says
Let He or she who has ears hear what is said!
