The onus ain't on us,
As we die, cry, fight and cuss,
The government can't legislate morals to make you just,
And the gods ain't at odds with your mistrust,
We're so tired of the way you treat us,
But all we can do is fuss,
The onus is yours because you once owned us.

I think Trump has made that perfectly clear. I wonder how the world will react? When will they understand? Disdain for us is like "stepping on a crack." We are their beginning!

Love the title and it's play on words. Onus/Own Us. Very clever. Deftly walked the fine line between truth telling and sympathy without making yourself out to be the victim. Well done sir!.
