I wonder whats the obsession?
The fact that you have a man or woman of color on their knees and a gun in your possession
Does it make you feel more like a man?
Because you can do whatever you want based on the badge in your hand?
Or is it because your job title is all it takes for a man of color to think twice
Or the sinking feeling he gets in his stomach after he hears the sound and the red and blues of police lights
We know our rights, well the ones we thought we had
The right to remain silent but unfortunately when we proclaim them
The results would be the same even if we nutted up
The right to bear arms, well we know thats a lie
A white boy shoots up a church and lives, but a black man carries a gun outside in an open carry state and he dies
A well known and feared gang member tries to turn himself around and saves lives
But the governor called at the last minute not to save him but to give the ok to let him fry
A woman was wrongfully arrested and taken to jail
And for whatever reason decides to hang herself in her own cell
A white man kills a black boy and then after he beats the case, he brags the whole time
A black man shows off his gun collection on instagram and all of a sudden he fits a mans description and is now a suspect in a crime.
So whats the obsession? Maybe its the power
Well never know until we take the guns away from them cowards.
