A mother is pregnant, but is still unsure of what to do,
“It's not my child!†says the father, now she must choose.
Alone she cries, “I can't afford a decent loving home!â€
A place where she can raise her child all on her own.
Aloud she even thinks, “Should I give my baby away?â€
She soon realizes how she'll still miss her baby every day.
So, she decides abortion can become her only choice,
Yet, when the doctor comes, she starts to lose her voice.
Afraid of a mother's choice only she can choose, and must make.
“Yes!â€says her mind, but her heart’s emotions she won’t fake.
She can't speak, as the lump in her throat grows, so heavy,
The doctor slowly confirms, “Ma’am are you really ready?â€
Closing her dreary eyes, she nods her head a fast yes,
Lying down, she feels her heart pounding out into her chest.
He injects something between her legs, she isn't in control,
It is ripping her own infant from the insides of her soul.
She lies there speechless, as reality comes into play,
The doctor's deed is done, and asks, “Miss are you okay?â€
Questioning what her beloved child could have been,
To herself she asks, “Did I just commit a deadly sin?â€
God bless a motherless’ child who was never born,
Whom she will never hear with listening ears their mourn.
The precious first steps she will never be able to see,
Tomorrow’s future generation will never come to be.
If she could go back she would care for her innocent child,
Her child could have seen the world’s wonderful wild.
Her child could have even been a lawyer in a great case,
Her child could have been a president of the United States.
Her child could have made a discovery no one else knew,
Her child could have done something no one could do.
Then again, I sadly know the world will never care to know,
A mother's choice, of not giving her child the world to behold.
