Fire Barrel

Just the perfect day

to break in new fire barrel

So happy sultry summmmer gone away

that fall winter breeze

just beginning to begin

Love sitting around my fire barrel

Listen to the burning wood go snap crackle pop

truly enjoy it a lot

then to watch those dancing flames

with these climbing  diferent hues

makes me feel good inside too

The warmth kicking off is serious

gotta sit a ways back

this barrel cuttin no slack

Especially love it at night when

the cold is holding tight

Livin in these country woods lookin

up at a darken sky illuminated from

the moon and brightly shinning stars

Lifes simple treats and treasure

sometimes sweet as a Mars

candy bar

City slick country tough

for me thats good enough

I too live for those barrel fire nights mrmelody7. They're even better with an ice cold beer or a smooth drink on the rocks and yeah, you gotta sit way back or you'll end up with cherry braised cheeks and a hole or two in your jacket. This is a great write. Thank you for sharing.
