A red door

In a yellow world

Finds me as a tree

Itching for my squirrel

The door knob

Swinging on a rope

Behind it’s door

Houses – my dreams and my hope

A dead raven

With a still – beating heart

I may be lovable

Ladies don’t tell us

Thinking to myself

I am compelled to talk to my heart

To flush the past and stand up in today

To keep moving in this new start

First I must separate facts from feelings

What is versus what appears

Say truthful things to my heart

That will unlock my hearts ears

Create a safe environment

So that I can share with myself without fear

Heart meet my feelings, feelings meet my mind

It’s us and honesty alone in here

We must work on me so that I can be better

Let’s build respect, romance and communication

Teach me to make time for my relationship

Teach me to relish the differences between mine and her emotions

Teach me to ask questions and develop compassion

Teach me the value of time, not just my time

Help me to serve the same energ...

how can you sleep

when my heart is wide awake

when next to you is empty

with me laying there

how can you not see
