Choice
It really is, all about choice.
Choosing to be quiet in order to hear your own voice:
You choose whether to live or die,
To be analytical as you put forth efforts to try.
You don't have to stay in a transitioning period.
Considering whether to be unhallowed or be blessed.
Or allow yourself to be dominated and enslaved by your sin,
You can choose to have faith trusting in the deliverance from negativity smothering within.
Choose to stop the ease of shifting blame,
Consistently reneging so you'll not have to change.
Therefore you continue donning reminiscence of shame:
Fearing aspirations and success you refuse to claim.
Always managing the sin: binding your potential,
Which makes you settle into believing you're not able.
Why keep your true self hidden?
Validating fear of success while finding comfort in the abyss of being frightened.
It really, really is all about choice making the right choice.
Doing the work that will alleviate the hurt.
Being able to sacrifice the unnecessariness’ needs of self;
And accept righteousness for the you, which you must reject.
Maintaining awareness of a "Higher Power" that lives.
Not totally relying on your own ability and will.
You must conquer the fear the demons that resides within;
Then better your choice becomes to win.
You ask: what work is there to be done?
It's doing whatever it takes to stop what's causing you harm.
Being in the battle; fighting relentlessly,
To keep the "whose you are" identity.
It's your choice to win or lose.
To magnify the gifts God gave you to use.
Or rest in the excuse of what's termed as "having a moment."
That in between phase where God is kept distant.
It's when you fail to ask what should you do;
Calling and counting on others instead of you know who.
Moving in a direction with no familiarity.
So caught up in the sin, lacking a true identity.
And you continue to make choices which leads you further astray;
Left feeling remorseful, ashamed, guilty and with debts to repay.
Forgetting that the consequences of your choices already forgiven the price already paid.
That alone should make you stop, pray and seek sound wisdom before the next choice is made.
