I'm a Global Majority,
Refuse to be a color or minority,
Acting locally and thinking worldly grants me authority,
Race is an iceberg, far beneath there's more to me,
And you - boxes, adjectives, and labels are lunacy,
Those who use them simply have no class - truancy,
Suggest progress and watch 'em scratch they heads cluelessly,
This ain't the way it's 'posta to be,
Degree, presence, or absence of melanin ain't a reason to boast to me,
Nor is one's wealth, place of birth, or current vicinity,
What is God's hue, is it a he or she, singular or a trinity?
We ask the wrong questions and accept truth horribly,
We need to unlearn and return,
Question the 'facts', which we're most concerned,
Are pointless, none of us (are) anointed,
Or special, as the powerful become self appointed,
Some nerve as their personal disasters curse the masses,
Forever frozen by fear, trapped and passive,
Like Lions and Elephants choked by a tiny rope,
At the Zoo and Circus, they've lost all hope,
If they could only remember the feeling of freedom,
We would break free from our cages and masters and simply destroy them.
