So the other day this girl hit me up
Yea we used to be cool
Clubs, shopping malls, drinks at noon by the pool
I thought we were friends, you know the type
Where you can talk the most and give unwarranted advice
I wish she understood what I thought we had.. I asked this girl to be a bridesmaid in my Wedding....
She accepted and smiled and was all kinds of geeked as was I
3 days later she text me and told me she'd lied. She said she could not even attend, she had other priorities.
I told her I get. I got you. Loyalties.
So again. Ya'll know me I still think we are some type of cool 8 months later I invite her to another life event... Same Excuse.
She doesn't come to my home, Or celebrate with me on birthdays. I only see her on weekends. I think ya'll can see what type of friend she really is.
So she hit me and said " You are friends with someone who disrespected me. How could you that? Where is your loyalty?"
I looked at the text and I couldn't help but smile.
Does she really want to know because this could take awhile.
I could tell her that my loyalty was to my man, kid and dogs but to her
my weekend friend
I had no obligation at all
I could tell her that friendship goes beyond the four walls of a club, but I could see her now * roll eyes, shrug*.
I could tell her that a friendship is giving and taking advice the type that goes beyond What should I wear tonight?
I could tell her these things but I know there would be no action. So instead of giving her my reaction...
I ignored it, I ignored her and decided to make that change.
